Rory's Christmas present for Dean: The Metamorphosis
Rory Gilmore (Alexis Bledel)
Rory picks Kafka as a Christmas gift for her new boyfriend and thinks it's romantic. Lane calls it a confusing Czechoslovakian novel and compares it to Dean giving Rory a football. Lane is right about the gift and wrong about the passport, since Kafka wrote in German in a Prague that still belonged to Austria-Hungary.
