Sally home alone: Rosemary's Baby
Sally Draper (Kiernan Shipka) · Sally's bedroom
In The Crash, Sally reads Ira Levin in bed, and later that night a stranger named Ida walks into the apartment claiming to be her grandmother. The Artifice reads the book as Sally's story, a girl nobody believes. Of all the nights to be reading about a friendly older woman with an agenda.

The book

Rosemary's Baby
Levin's 1967 novel about a young wife in a Manhattan building whose neighbors take a very close interest in her pregnancy. Roman Polanski's 1968 film shot its exteriors at the Dakota. Most of the book is about nobody listening to Rosemary. Sally could have written the blurb.
