Roger on Ogilvy: Confessions of an Advertising Man
Roger Sterling (John Slattery)
LitReactor has Roger summing up David Ogilvy's memoir in one line: it's the book everybody writes, only he got it published. Then Roger goes and writes his own. The show's producers actually published it in 2010 as Sterling's Gold, so Roger beat most real ad men to a book deal by being fictional.

Confessions of an Advertising Man
Ogilvy's 1963 memoir, from the founder of Ogilvy & Mather and the man who put an eye patch on the Hathaway shirt guy. It has sold more than a million copies. Every agency on the show wants to be his, and he's the one who wrote the manual.
