What it tells you

Dark Shadows is the week Sally learns about Anna, the first wife nobody mentioned, and freezes out Megan for keeping quiet. The NYPL list has her reading Lloyd Alexander that week. She picked a book about a pot that turns the dead into an army. Megan should check what's on the stove.

The Black Cauldron

Lloyd Alexander · 1965 · children's novel

The second of Alexander's five Prydain books and a 1966 Newbery Honor. Disney's 1985 animated version flopped so hard it stayed off home video for 13 years. Sally got the book, which was the right call.
