Isaac's Camus: The Outsider
Camus's 1942 novel goes by The Outsider in Britain and The Stranger in the US, and it opens with one of the most famous first lines in fiction: Mother died today. Meursault feels nothing he's supposed to feel and won't pretend otherwise. Isaac spends season two finding out his own feelings don't match the script either.
