Beard's second Hornby: About a Boy
Hornby's 1998 novel follows Will, a grown man living off royalties from his late father's Christmas song, until a kid makes him grow up. The 2002 film had Hugh Grant. Beard is reading about a man-child while a man-child pushes Colin around in front of him.
